Russia's national soccer team has secured its place in the Euro 2016 tournament with a 2-0 victory in Moscow against Montenegro.
Oleg Kuzmin scored a goal at 33 minutes and Aleksandr Kokorin scored on a penalty kick four minutes later to ensure the Russian team will travel to the UEFA Euro 2016 finals in France next summer.
The October 12 victory put Russia in second-place in Group G behind Austria, which had already qualified.
The win condemned Sweden to third place and a spot in the playoffs next month, despite a 2-0 victory at home against Moldova on October 12.
