The chief of Tatarstan Airlines has been fired following a deadly plane crash in the Russian republic.
Tatarstan's Ministry of Transportation announced on December 4 that the board of directors of Tatarstan Airlines had dismissed Director-General Aksan Giniyatullin.
The announcement comes one day after the head of the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency's department in Tatarstan, Shavkat Umarov, resigned, saying that he feels responsible for last month's crash in which 50 people were killed.
