Red Cross Worker Killed In Ukraine Shelling
A Swiss Red Cross worker was killed in the separatist-held city of Donetsk, in eastern Ukraine, late on October 2. Laurent DuPasquier, 38, died when a shell landed near the organization's headquarters in the city. In a statement the Red Cross condemned what it called "indiscriminate shelling of residential areas." In recent days there have been increasing violations of a ceasefire, in place since September 5, with both sides blaming each other. (Reuters)
