Ghani Says Door Still Open For Peace Talks With Taliban

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has said he expects Taliban leaders to eventually agree to peace talks with the government -- an offer the militant group rejected earlier this month. In an exclusive interview with RFE/RL’s Radio Free Afghanistan in Kabul on July 16, Ghani also said Pakistan must play a role in combating extremism in Afghanistan.
