Clashes Mar Paratroopers' Day In Kazan

Celebrations on Russia's Paratroopers' Day on August 2 turned violent in Kazan, the capital of the republic of Tatarstan, as a group of about 40 former soldiers attacked vendors at a vegetable market, many of whom come from Central Asia. Many of the attackers were drunk and chanted ultranationalist slogans.
