1 July 2004 -- A senior official within the Iraqi Finance Ministry was injured and two of his staff were killed when an explosion struck their convoy in Baghdad.
Interior Ministry spokesman Colonel Adnan Hussein said Ihsan Karim, the head of the ministry's audit board, suffered slight injuries in the attack.
Earlier today in Al-Fallujah, the U.S. military launched an air strike against a suspected hideout of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who is believed to be a leader of the insurgency in Iraq.
Local hospital officials say at least four people were killed in the attack, the fourth in recent weeks.
The air strike came as the United States increased its reward for information leading to the arrest of al-Zarqawi from $10 million to $25 million.
