18 July 2004 -- A Greek prosecutor today questioned a Serbian national suspected of being involved in last year's slaying of Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic in anticipation of his extradition to Belgrade.
The 34-year-old Dejan Milenkovic was detained on 16 July in the city port of Thessaloniki. Greek Prosecutor Spyridoula Stavraki today charged him with entering the country illegally.
Milenkovic is expected to appear before another prosecutor for his extradition tomorrow.
Also known by his underworld name "Bugsy," Milenkovic is one of the 13 crime figures and paramilitary members charged in the March 2003 murder of Djindjic.
