Four Afghan Soldiers Killed In Ambush

24 July 2004 -- Four Afghan soldiers have been killed in an ambush by suspected Taliban insurgents in eastern Afghanistan.
Provincial Governor Sayeed Fazel Akbar Agha said the ambush occurred on the night of 22 July in Kunar Province, some 220 kilometers east of the capital, Kabul.

AFP quotes a provincial Information Ministry official as saying authorities have detained 11 suspects, including some Pakistani tribesmen.
