Three Polish Troops Killed in Iraq

12 September 2004 -- Poland's military says attackers killed three Polish troops near the Iraqi town of Hillah today.
In the northern city of Mosul, attackers shot and killed one Iraqi police officers and wounded three others.

In the Iraqi capital Baghdad, U.S. troops and insurgents clashed for hours on a main city street, killing at least 13 people and wounding over 40 others.

A suicide car bomb attack outside the gates of Baghdad's Abu Gurayb prison killed the driver and wounded at least three people.

A second a car bomb killed three people in western Baghdad.

In Ramadi, south of Baghdad, Iraqi hospital officials say U.S. airstrikes killed at least 10 people and wounded at least 40 others.
