7 December 2004 -- Iran's top nuclear negotiator today said that he will next week have talks with British, French, and German officials to discuss Iran's nuclear program.
Hassan Rohani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said the head of the UN International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Muhammad el-Baradei, is also invited to the talks.
The talks would be the latest round of negotiations concerning Iran's controversial nuclear program.
The United States says Iran is covertly developing nuclear arms, which Iran has repeatedly denied.
Last week the IAEA's board of governors decided Iran should not be referred to the UN Security Council for possible sanctions after Tehran agreed in a deal with the three European states to suspend its uranium-enrichment program. But Iran has threatened to resume enrichment activities if the talks with the EU do not start yielding quick results.
