U.S. Troops, Iraqi Police Killed In Attacks

12 December 2004 -- Insurgents in Iraq conducted attacks across the country today, killing two U.S. soldiers and an Iraqi policeman.
One of the U.S. soldiers was killed in Anbar Province. The other was killed in a Baghdad roadside-bomb attack. The policeman was killed in an ambush north of the capital.

Several U.S. soldiers and Iraqi police were wounded in those attacks.

A car bomb in the northern Iraqi town of Irbil wounded two people. That attack was apparently aimed at a U.S. convoy.
