27 February 2005 -- The Iraqi government says a half-brother and former adviser to Saddam Hussein has been captured in Iraq.
Sabawi Ibrahim al-Hasan al-Tikriti was No. 36 on the U.S. military's list of the 55 most wanted people in Iraq. Several months ago the interim government said Ibrahim was one of at least two former Ba'ath Party officials directing the anti-American insurgency.
Ibrahim's brothers Watban and Barzan are already in custody. Only about 10 people, including Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, No.6 on the list, remain at large.
In another development today, a body of a female Iraqi television journalist who worked for the U.S. funded Nineveh TV station was found near Mosul.
