7 April 2005 (RFE/RL) -- Egyptian officials say two people were killed and at least 17 others were wounded today in an explosion at an outdoor Cairo market frequented by foreign tourists.
The Interior Ministry said in a statement one of the killed was a French woman. It said the wounded included French, Americans, Italians, Turks as well as Egyptians.
A Health Ministry official said the other person killed was a U.S. national.
