American Contractor Kidnapped In Iraq

11 April 2005 -- A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy in Iraq says an American contractor was kidnapped near Baghdad today.

The spokesman, Bob Callaghan, said the contractor was working on a reconstruction project.

The contractor's family has been notified of the abduction.

No other details were immediately released.
