Voting in Bishkek on 10 July
13 July 2005 (RFE/RL) -- Kyrgyzstan's Central Election Commission today certified the results of the 10 July presidential election that gave Kurmanbek Bakiev a landslide victory, RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service reported.
The CEC says Bakiev won 89 percent of the vote. Voter turnout was at 75 percent.
The Constitutional Court must now rule on the CEC's findings.
The court's approval of the vote would pave the way for President-elect Bakiev's inauguration, likely to be held in August.
