22 July 2005 -- At least one person was killed and seven wounded after an explosion in the Lebanese capital Beirut today.
News agencies quote Lebanese security sources as saying the blast came from a parked car outside a restaurant on Rue Monot, a bustling nightlife street.
The explosion came a few hours after a short visit to Beirut by U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
