Party officials said today that party delegates voted 63-7 last night to keep Tariceanu as both party leader and prime minister.

Tariceanu's position has been in question since 7 July, when he announced he would step down in order to call new elections
-- but later reversed that decision, saying the country needed him to stay on and oversee rebuilding after devastating floods.
