3 October 2005 (RFE/RL) -- Twenty-one people were reported killed and seven injured in the collision of two buses in southern Tajikistan.
The two buses collided late on 2 October in a rural area of the Gozimalik region, some 50 kilometers south of the capital Dushanbe. The collision sparked an explosion of a liquefied-natural-gas canister which killed all 21 passengers on board one of the buses.
