25 October 2005 -- The trial is expected to start in the Swiss city of Zurich today of a Russian man accused of murdering an air-traffic controller who was on duty the night of a deadly air crash.
Peter Nielsen, a Zurich-based air controller, was the sole person on duty the night a holiday charter flight from Russia collided with a cargo plane over southern Germany in July 2002, an area under Nielsen's control.
Vitalii Kaloev lost his wife and two children in the crash.
He is accused of stabbing Nielsen to death at his home in Zurich last year.
