8 November 2005 -- Moscow's police headquarters has returned a bust of Soviet secret police founder Feliks Dzerzhinskii to its old spot in its courtyard.
Moscow police chief Vladimir Pronin said today that veterans had requested the move, and that the sculpture had artistic value.
The bust was removed with other images of Dzerzhinskii after the August 1991 coup attempt by communist hardliners.
Liberal politicians condemned its return.
