7 December 2005 -- The defense ministers of China and Uzbekistan held talks in Beijing today on developing military cooperation.
China's official Xinhua news agency reported that visiting Uzbek Defense Minister Ruslan Mirzayev and his Chinese counterpart Cao Gangchuan discussed bilateral relations, military cooperation, and regional issues.
Cao said Mirzayev's visit will help increase cooperation between the Uzbek and Chinese militaries. Mirzayev said Uzbekistan is ready to further such cooperation with China.
