Iran Will ‘Probably’ Discuss Nuclear Program In Pakistan

Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr (file photo) (AFP) 12 December 2005 -- Iran's nuclear program will "probably figure" in discussions when Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki visits Pakistan on 14 December, a Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said today.

Mottaki's visit comes ahead of talks scheduled for 21 December between Iran and three EU powers -- Britain, France, and Germany -- on its controversial nuclear program.

The aim of Mottaki's trip is to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. Iran has sent relief goods and set up a field hospital in Pakistan for survivors of the October massive earthquake. Iran has also pledged $200 million in credit to fund reconstruction in the quake-hit zone.
