Japanese Architect Killed In Russian Far East

(RFE/RL) 22 February 2006 -- A Japanese architect traveling home from Moscow has been killed in Khabarovsk, in the Russian Far East.

Police said the man disappeared shortly after checking into his hotel on 10 February.


This is the second murder of a Japanese national this year in the Russian Far East. The first victim had been working on the construction of a factory.
