March 4, 2006 -- The Arab League says it will be opening an office in Baghdad in the coming days.
Officials of the pan-Arab body say Moroccan diplomat Mukhtar Lamani will head the Arab League's office in the Iraqi capital.
The Arab League opposed the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003.
