Bosnian Serb Jailed For 20 Years For War Crimes

(RFE/RL) March 9, 2006 -- A Bosnian Serb court has sentenced an ex-soldier to 20 years in prison for war crimes.

A district court in the city of Banja Luka in the Serb entity, Republika Srpska, ruled that Milanko Vujanovic, a former soldier in the Bosnian Serb Army, was guilty of murdering five Muslim civilians in October 1992 along with two other, unknown soldiers.

The judges said in their ruling that Vujanovic knew the five Muslims were civilians.
