General Rahmatullah Raufi says the attacker detonated his explosives prematurely.

The attack was similar to one that targeted a foreign military convoy in Kandahar Province on March 30. On that occasion seven people were wounded.

Also on March 30, a suspected militant died in northern Afghanistan when a bomb he was carrying exploded.
