U.S. Soldier Killed, Militants Arrested In Afghanistan

U.S. soldiers in southern Afghanistan (file photo) (Fars) April 21, 2006 -- The U.S. military in Afghanistan reports that one of its service personnel was killed and an Afghan soldier was wounded in a clash with militants today in the central province of Oruzgan.

Also on April 21, Afghanistan's Defense Ministry said troops had arrested 19 militants, including several suspected Taliban members, during raids in the south of the country.
