May 4, 2006 -- Serbia's President Boris Tadic today warned that the government's failure to arrest top war crimes suspect Ratko Mladic jeopardizes Serbia's credibility in international relations, and weakens efforts toward European integration.
Tadic said Serbia-Montenegro must step up efforts to cooperate with the UN war crimes tribunal.
The EU on May 3 suspended accession talks with Serbia-Montenegro after Belgrade missed a second deadline for Mladic's arrest.
Meanwhile today, Serbian authorities said they had arrested three people suspected of helping Mladic avoid capture.
