Second Sunni Cleric Killed In Iraq In Two Days

A destroyed mosque at the site of a suicide car bomb attack in al-Shaeb district, northeast of Baghdad, April 4 (epa) May 12, 2006 -- Iraqi police report that gunmen killed a Sunni cleric and his son as they left a mosque today in the city of Basra.
It was the second deadly attack on Iraqi Sunni leaders in two days.

Yesterday, Iraq's top Shi'ite cleric, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, ordered a three-day closure of all mosques in the town of Zubayr, where the first killing took place, as a gesture of protest against sectarian violence.
