May 26, 2006 -- A monument to the founder of the Soviet secret police was unveiled today in the Belarusian capital Minsk.
The monument is an exact copy of a statue of Felix Dzerzhinsky outside the Moscow headquarters of the KGB that pro-democracy crowds tore down in 1991.
