At Least Five Iraqis Killed In Mosul Bombing

(RFE/RL) July 3, 2006 -- A car bomb targeting an Iraqi police patrol killed at least five people and wounded more than 20 in a market in the northern city of Mosul.
Police say most of the victims were civilians.

Meanwhile, the U.S. military says a Marine died "due to enemy action" in the western Al-Anbar Governorate today, while a soldier was killed by a roadside bomb on July 2 north of Baghdad.

In southern Iraq, a British military spokesperson said a roadside bomb struck a British armored vehicle south of Al-Amarah. Nobody was hurt.
