July 13, 2006 -- Two bombs exploded in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-e Sharif today.
One detonated near the historic Blue Mosque and the other on a road on the city's outskirts.
City police chief Abdul Raof Taj said five people were wounded in the bombing near the Blue Mosque.
There were no reports of injuries from the other bomb.
