PRAGUE, August 7, 2006 (RFE/RL) -- The office of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said New Delhi and Dushanbe agreed to further develop bilateral ties in a number of areas, including industry, agriculture, and transportation.
Both sides also vowed to boost bilateral trade, which currently "does not correspond to [its] real potential," Singh's office says.
The pledge was made during a five-day visit to India by Tajik President Imomali Rakhmonov.
