August 31, 2006 -- Poland has eased restrictions on some workers from Belarus, Ukraine, and Russia to fill a job gap left by the massive outflow of Polish workers to other European Union nations.
The Labor Ministry said today that farm workers from those countries no longer require work permits to take seasonal jobs lasting up to three months.
Employees in several industries transferred to Poland by their firms are also exempted from needing work permits.
