Explosions At Ammunition Dump In Baghdad

Rescue workers on the site of an explosion in Baghdad in early October (epa) October 11, 2006 -- A large fire broke out overnight at an ammunition dump at a U.S. base in southern Baghdad, causing a series of explosions.

The U.S. military said the cause of the blaze was not immediately known.


No injuries have been reported.


Meanwhile, the U.S. army announced today that three more marines had died in action on October 9.


Violence on October 10 killed 30 people, including two U.S. soldiers and 11 gunmen.
