Afghan Agents Seize Bomb Materials

(RFE/RL) October 24, 2006 -- The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan today said that Afghan intelligence officers seized two trucks transporting hundreds of kilograms of bomb-making materials in a province near the capital, Kabul.

The seizures were made over the weekend in Laghman Province.


Kabul and its surrounding areas have seen a rise in attacks by militants using improvised explosive devices.
