The soldiers were killed in clashes over the past 24 hours in Baghdad and the province of Al-Anbar.
The U.S. military also reported the abduction in the capital on October 23 of a U.S. soldier of Iraqi descent working as a translator.
In other news, the U.S. military says U.S. troops have killed four Iraqi firefighters in a case of mistaken identity. The accident occurred in the city of Al-Fallujah on October 23.
In violence today, clashes between gunmen and police in Baghdad killed two civilians and wounded eight others. Also in the capital, a bomb inside an ice-cream shop killed one person and wounded seven others.
In the city of Kirkuk in northern Iraq, a roadside bomb targeting an army patrol killed two Iraqi soldiers and wounded another one.
In the south of the country, gunmen killed two police officers in the city of Al-Amarah. The Iraqi army declared a curfew in the Shi'ite city on October 23 after two days of violence last week in which at least 24 people were killed.
