10 More Kidnapping Victims Released In Iraq

(RFE/RL) December 19, 2006 -- Iraqi Red Crescent Secretary-General Mazen Abdullah says another 10 Iraqis were released today.

The releases came two days after more than two dozen people were kidnapped from an Iraqi Red Crescent office in Baghdad. Several victims were released yesterday


Abdullah said 16 Red Crescent workers are still missing. .


Meanwhile, gunmen stole at least $875,000 at a bank in central Baghdad today.


Also in Baghdad, the U.S. Army said a U.S. soldier died on December 18 from wounds sustained from enemy action.
