Russia's Richest Man Divorces

Roman Abramovich at a Kremlin meeting in December 2006 (epa) March 14, 2007 -- Russia's richest man, Roman Abramovich, and his wife, Irina, have divorced.

A spokesman said the break-up would not affect Abramovich's corporate interests, which include the top English football club, Chelsea.


No details of the financial settlement were disclosed.


Abramovich, who is also governor of Russia's fareastern Chukotka region, is ranked by "Forbes" magazine as the world's 16th-richest man, with an estimated personal wealth of $18.7 billion.
