May 10, 2007 -- Russia's Federal Security Service says it has foiled a major bomb attack in Moscow.
In a statement released today, the FSB said security agents discovered a car containing 7 kilograms of explosives on May 8, one day before celebrations marking the anniversary of the end of World War II.
The FSB said the bomb was disabled and several suspects were arrested.
The statement said the group behind the bomb plot was principally made up of people from the North Caucasus.
