Reports say the top item on today's agenda was Gulf security. Other issues reportedly included ways of boosting relations -- particularly through economic and trade links.
The president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahayan, said authorities in Abu Dhabi want to see the "elimination of the causes of tension in the Middle East," especially in the Gulf.
Ahmadinejad arrived in Abu Dhabi earlier today and plans for his visit to last two days.
