May 27, 2007 -- The French aid organization Terre d'Enfance (A World For Our Children) confirmed today that three of their employees, kidnapped by the Taliban, have been freed.
Taliban militants in Afghanistan said earlier today they had released the aid workers, who were kidnapped nearly two months ago, along with two French nationals.
The Taliban said the three aid workers were freed May 26 in Nimroz Province at the request of tribal leaders.
The French nationals were released a month ago.
