More than 250 scientists and specialists from Russia and elsewhere are expected to attend the four-day 8th International Conference On Nuclear Criticality Safety.
They will be discussing methods to ensure a common international approach to issues of nuclear and radiation safety, amid growth in the use of nuclear power in many countries.
The last such conference was held four years ago in Tokyo.
