Iran's Atomic Envoy Talks With IAEA Head, To See Solana

El-Baradei (left) and Larijani (right) in Vienna on June 22 (Fars) June 23, 2007 -- Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani, and the EU's foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, meet today in Lisbon to discuss Tehran's controversial nuclear program.

On June 22, International Atomic Energy Agency Director-General Muhammad el-Baradei said he and Larijani had agreed that day in Vienna to draw up a plan on how to resolve questions about Iran's nuclear program within two months.

El-Baradei described his meeting on June 22 with Larijani as "quite satisfying."

Larijani also spoke of "good progress," but the two reported no breakthrough in the core dispute -- Iran's defiance of UN demands to stop uranium enrichment.
