Shanghai Ministers Draft Long-Term Treaty

The ministers in Bishkek today (RFE/RL) BISHKEK, July 9, 2007 (RFE/RL) -- Foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting in Bishkek have approved the agenda for the regional grouping's upcoming summit, RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service reported.
The foreign ministers of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan drafted a long-term treaty on neighborliness, friendship, and cooperation to be signed at the summit, which is scheduled to take place next month in the Kyrgyz capital.
