Moscow, April 29 (RFE/RL) - The Russian commission charged with finding a solution to the Chechen conflict is scheduled to meet tomorrow. Russian Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin will chair the meeting. Our correspondent quotes Russian government officials as saying that the commission will discuss the report of investigators trying to clarify the details of a separatist attack on a Russian convoy earlier this month. At least 73 Russian servicemen were killed in the ambush near the Chechen village of Shali. The Chernomyrdin Commission will focus on the perspectives of talks with Chechen rebels. It remains unclear with whom the Kremlin will negotiate following the death of Chechen separatist leader Dzhkhar Dudayev and reported death of his successor Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev.
