Athens, 31 March 1997 (RFE/RL) - Uzbek President Islam Karimov is scheduled to begin a three-day state visit to Greece today.
During his visit, Karimov is due to meet with Greek government leaders, including the President, Prime Minister, and the Chairman of the Parliament. He is also expected to meet with Greek businessmen.
Five agreements are scheduled to be signed during Karimov's visit, including accords on double taxation, protection of investment, economic and technological cooperation, and tourism.
