YEREVAN -- Police say they have found the body of a missing Armenian-American businessman in a ravine outside Yerevan that shows "traces of violence," RFE/RL's Armenian Service reports.
Nazareth Berberian, 57, had "no known enemies," according to the Armenian-American charity Shahan Natalie Family Foundation.
Berberian vanished earlier this month and his California-based family offered a $250,000 reward for information about him.
A source close to the investigation told RFE/RL on May 18 that the authorities have made one arrest and indicated they have other suspects.
Berberian moved to Armenia 10 years ago to run several businesses, including a carpet factory. His company is currently involved in the construction of a hotel in downtown Yerevan.
