After a campaign that looked democratic, millions of Iranians were disappointed, then outraged, when on June 12 of last year the incumbent Mahmud Ahmadinejad was declared the winner only hours after the voting ended. The reformist Green Movement led by Mir Hossein Musavi charged fraud and took to the streets.
