Syria Violence Continues After UN Vote

Activists in Syria distributed amateur video on February 17 purportedly showing continuing fighting in the cities of Homs and Daraa. The violence came a day after the UN General Assembly approved a nonbinding resolution calling on President Bashar al-Assad to leave power. In comments at the UN, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon demanded that Assad's regime end its use of force against civilians. AP video
